Light Painting - White.png

Light Painting is a form of art created using a camera and light sources which has been about since the 1880's.

There are three categories if Light Painting but all require the use of long exposure photography. The first category is 'Light Drawing', which involves using the source of light to draw a picture by shinning it directly into the camera while moving it. The second is 'Light Painting' where the light source is used to light specific parts of a scene by painting the light over it. The third is 'Kinetic Light Painting' where the light source remains stationary but the camera itself moves creating colour and shapes in the image.
